Well here I go!
I have been wanting to start a blog. A sewing blog, or maybe it should be my sewing journal. I remember a few years ago, my sister Allison said that I should take pictures and keep track of everything I make. What pattern I used, fabric choices and colors, if I kept it, gave it as a gift, or even if I sold it. So I hope that by starting this blog, I can share with family and friends, my passion. I sewed all of my girls dresses, and now I sew for my two granddaughters. The picture of the blue dress, I made for my granddaughter, Makayle. It is patterned after a vintage style dress for girls. I have also made for all my grandchildren, a toy holder which you can tie to the end of a crib, or hang on the wall. The one you see is made for my youngest grandson, Porter. I also love making bags, so pictures will follow soon. Smocking and Heirloom sewing is also something I enjoy doing. And last but not least, quilting. Working on some projects, so will share those soon. So I guess you can say, I love all things to do with a sewing machine, rotary cutter, rulers, needle and thread. If you come knocking at my door and I don't answer, I will most likely be in my sewing room with my machine going full blast, and listening to talk radio.
